Malcolm Steinberg

Malcolm founded the Leisure & Allied Industries (LAI) group in 1958 in Perth, Australia. He served as the group’s CEO for 55 years until 2013 and is now its non-executive Director.

Under Malcolm’s leadership, the Timezone business grew to over 200 family entertainment centres operating across Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Singapore, and Vietnam.

In 2009, Malcolm Steinberg received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Amusement Machine Association (AAMA). It was the first and only time the award has been issued to a non-American.
