Malcolm Steinberg

Malcolm Steinberg is a well-respected figure in the entertainment and amusement industry. He founded the Leisure & Allied Industries (LAI) group in 1958 in Perth, Australia, and served as the group’s CEO for 55 years until 2013. He now holds the position of non-executive Director of the group. 

Under Malcolm's leadership, the Timezone business experienced significant growth, expanding to operate over 320 venues across multiple countries. 

Malcolm's contributions have been recognized by the American Amusement Machine Association (AAMA), which awarded him the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009. He was the first non-American to receive this honour. In 2023, Malcolm was inducted into the US Industry Hall of Fame by the AAMA, making him the first living non-US citizen to achieve this recognition.
