Botany’s new Family Entertainment Centre is turning heads
Zone Bowling and Timezone Spin into Auckland
The Entertainment and Education Group (TEEG), one of the largest family entertainment centre operators in the region, wows audiences once again with the opening of a fantastic new venue, just in time for the start of the school holidays. Zone Bowling Botany, which includes a Timezone venue inside, officially opened its doors on Friday 18 September last weekend following a multimillion-dollar renovation.
Botany is the second dual branded Zone Bowling and Timezone venue to open in New Zealand following on from the extremely popular Zone Bowling Garden City in Christchurch in 2019. Formerly branded Xtreme Entertainment the venue, has been renovated into a contemporary family entertainment centre with 12 Bowling lanes, Spin Zone Bumper Cars and 80 Arcade games. A new mezzanine level hosts the brand-new 20 vest Laser Tag arena. The addition of the onsite café with a brand-new food and beverage menu makes Zone Bowling / Timezone Botany the ultimate destination for a family day out.
“We were thrilled to open our second dual branded Zone Bowling and Timezone in New Zealand and bring the fun to Auckland,” says Belinda Falzon, NZ Chief Operations Officer for New Zealand. “I’m sure that by opening Zone Bowling and Timezone Botany we will be able to bowl our guest over with fun and incredible experiences. I’m really proud of our Fun Squad who have worked incredibly hard through the recent Covid restrictions to ensure that we can open on time and provide a safe and exciting entertainment hub for Aucklanders.”
Both Zone Bowling and Timezone believe in fun for the whole family and, launching at the start of the spring school holidays means that we are able to bring incredible value for our guests. “Being in the business of creating smiles and memorable experiences, we are very encouraged by the popularity of first dual branded Zone Bowling venue we opened in Christchurch, and the support of our guests who are looking for good quality, safe places to have fun with their family and friends.” says Sonaal Chopra, CEO of TEEG, “New Zealanders can definitely look forward to be wow-ed even more!”
Despite New Zealand Covid restrictions TEEG has seen Kiwi families returning to their favourite Timezone, Zone Bowling and Xtreme Entertainment venues with queues all waiting to share in the fun. Ensuring that venues operate covid safe is a strong focus for all our team. The Kiwi confidence in the safety of our New Zealand venues mean that TEEG is still on track to open new state-of-the-art entertainment venues in Palmerston North, Christchurch, Napier and Dunedin before the end of the year.
