Timezone Surfers Paradise Set for Grand Overhaul
Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, QLD: Exciting changes are afoot at Timezone Surfers Paradise! Celebrated as the largest indoor family entertainment centre in Australia, the iconic Gold Coast venue will benefit from an extensive renovation aimed to cement its reputation as a state-of-the-art, all-inclusive entertainment destination. Re-opening late 2019, the venue will boast a refreshed high-end laser tag arena, 200 m2 of bumper car bliss, brand-new mini bowling lanes and even a glow-in-the-dark mini golf experience. More than 250 of the latest, greatest games means this new Timezone will host one of the biggest collections of arcade games in Australia.
“Timezone Surfers Paradise has played a part in creating memories for generations of guests” says Kane Fong, General Manager of Timezone and Zone Bowling Australia. “It’s the right time to re-invigorate our entertainment offering to create an experience that will entice new fun-seekers as well as keep cherished regulars coming back for more.”
Timezone Surfers Paradise has been an iconic part of the world-famous Gold Coast experience since opening its doors in 1993. Since then, it has worked closely with industry bodies such as the Surfers Paradise Alliance to drive tourism to the Gold Coast. “Supporting and being part of the local trade is important to us,” according to Mr Fong. “This renovation will not only benefit guests from all walks of life, but also the passionate businesses and people whose hard work keep the Gold Coast experience growing and ever-evolving.”
The new Timezone Surfers Paradise will present a brand-new, impressive open prize shop experience to reward intrepid players for their efforts. An on-site café offering a range of beverages and delicious food options will be the perfect spot for players to refuel their energy levels, along with a number of exciting attractions, there is something for everyone.
During the renovation period, die-hard fans can still treat themselves to a Timezone experience at two Pop Up locations while the main venue is closed. Both Pop Ups can be found in the Paradise Centre: one on the Ground Floor, and the other on Level 1. Alternatively, guests can visit Timezone Coolangatta, Timezone/Zone Bowling Westfield Garden City and Zone Bowling Robina for hours of play.
The opening of the new Timezone Surfers Paradise family entertainment centre in late 2019 will be celebrated by a launch party, special offers and competitions. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates.
