TEEG Wins Prestigious IAAPA Brass Ring Award for Best Training

Singapore, 6 February 2026: The Entertainment and Education Group (TEEG), the leader in social entertainment across the Asia-Pacific region, has been awarded the IAAPA Brass Ring Award for Best Training for its Guest U-Connect Training program, which is rolled out across its brands, including Timezone, Zone Bowling, Kingpin, and Play ‘N’ Learn.

Recognised in the Human Resources Excellence: Best Training Program category, the program showcases a Gen Z-focused approach, strengthening authentic guest connections while equipping frontline teams with practical, in-the-moment tools.

With more than 75% of its frontline teams identifying as Gen Z, training has evolved to match how teams learn. Guest U-Connect delivers short, engaging, mobile-first content, reflecting the digital experiences team members consume before their shift. Many have already learned two or three new skills from platforms like TikTok, so the program goes beyond traditional e-learning into real-world application.

The program was recognised for its innovative use of TikTok-style video content delivered in the flow of work. Developed entirely in-house, it empowers team members through peer-led learning, practical challenges, and real-world application, ensuring confident, meaningful guest interactions.

The IAAPA Brass Ring Awards draw inspiration from a tradition in early amusement parks, where carousel riders reached for a brass ring symbolising luck and achievement. Today, IAAPA honours excellence and innovation across the global attractions industry.

Guest U-Connect stood out for addressing frontline challenges, equipping team members with practical tools, and building confidence in everyday guest interactions. By focusing on simple, human moments, the program strengthens authentic guest connections across all its venues.

“We are incredibly proud of this recognition from IAAPA,” said Belinda Falzon, Group Chief People Officer at TEEG. “Guest U-Connect meets our teams where they are, giving them the confidence and practical skills to feel comfortable starting conversations and creating meaningful guest interactions. With more than 6,500 of our team identifying as Gen Z, the program reflects how our people learn and connect. This recognition is a credit to our Learning and Development team, who designed the program, and to our Fun Squad teams in venues who bring it to life every day.”

TEEG is honoured to receive this award and remains committed to investing in innovative, practical training that supports its teams, strengthens culture, and delivers exceptional guest experiences across its brands.
